Sellwood software by DW Hylton is a Human Machine Interface program (HMI) designed for the Mitsubishi FX series PLC. (* see note)
The Sellwood interface runs on any IBM compatible Windows 2000/Xp platform and connects to the FX1S,FX1N,FX2N,FX2NC using the SC-09 programming cable. No other hardware or software driver is needed.
You can build a professional looking operator interface with pushbuttons dials and gages in minutes. Programming skills are not needed for the Sellwood software however familiarity with the FX PLC and its architecture is recommended.
The Sellwood interface uses multiple screens that are populated with graphic tool objects.
Select an object from the pull down menu and then click the location on the screen. The object will appear at the cursor. Graphic objects can be easily moved, resized and reshaped with the mouse.
There are twenty-two graphic objects that can be stretched reshaped and moved to suit your needs. Link graphic dials, gages, knobs, switches, and sliders to PLC X,Y,S and M bits and “D” registers.
A right click on the graphic object reveals the property menu where each object is configured. Make your changes to the objects and select “save and run” to save the project to disk and run.
When in run mode the Sellwood software continuously polls the PLC for status on the bits or registers that are referenced by the graphic objects and instantly updates the graphic objects when the bit or register status has changed.
Each project uses its own PC COM port so you can run multiple instances of Sellwood software and on one PC each connected to a different PLC’s.
The Sellwood interface is both the editor and runtime so your project can be run instantly by selecting the run mode. You do not need to wait for a compile or down load to run the interface.
